After college I spent a year in AmeriCorps and a year as an AmeriCorps team leader with environmental non-profits. I enjoyed AmeriCorps so much because community service and giving back is very important to me. I love working to improve our world and I wanted to take my service to a new, international level. Since coming to Israel I have been teaching English to Israeli students, grades 1-6. I also volunteer at a community center tutoring and installing a educational community garden. On a daily basis I face challenges with teaching and living in foreign country, but the growth I see in both the students and myself is very satisfying and makes it all worthwhile.
