Why did you do MITF?

I didn’t know what I wanted to do after graduating University. I had found out about MITF from an email from Birthright. I knew I loved working with kids, and I had always thought about teaching. MITF was a great way to test out teaching, whilst getting the opportunity to live abroad, make new friends, and learn a new language.

How was your experience?

I had the most amazing year. The girls I lived with became my sisters. I had an amazing school, and my host teacher organised a different student’s family for me to have a Shabbat meal every Friday night. I feel like I made a real difference in the lives of the students, and they made a difference in mine.

What do you do now?

I am now the Masa Israel UK Recruitment and Events Co-ordinator. After the most amazing year in Israel I wanted to give back to the community, and encourage other people to have the most amazing year!
