About Us
Israel Pathways organizes Masa-funded programs for post-college adults. Pathways is part of Tlalim-Authentic Israel, an educational travel company that also organizes Israel Outdoors – the most popular Taglit-Birthright Israel experience. For over 30 years, we have shared the beauty of Israel with Jewish travelers from around the world. Our mission is to provide you with an enriching and eye-opening experience in Israel that brings together informal education, an inclusive approach, and an always fun and meaningful environment. Each of our programs will endow you with unique skills and hands-on experiences that will impact you for many years to come.
About the City
Netanya | Mediterranean Coastal Living
Netanya is a small coastal city of 183,000 residents located 18 miles north of Tel Aviv. Named for American philanthropist Nathan Strauss, the city encompasses a wide and colorful mix of people. Many of Netanya’s residents originate from Jewish communities in North Africa, Ethiopia, and the former Soviet Union. Netanya is also the home to Israel’s largest population of Persian (Iranian) Jews. Netanya’s nine miles of white sand beaches rank among the most beautiful in the world, drawing many visitors from Europe and beyond year-round. Situated between Haifa and Tel Aviv, Netanya serves as a vital social and economic link between the northern and southern parts of the country.
Why Choose Our Program?
Living and teaching in the seaside community of Netanya is a unique opportunity. Our apartments in Netanya are centrally located – a five-minute walk to the beach, near downtown Netanya, and close to the main bus station with connections throughout Israel.
As part of Israel Pathways, you will experience Israel outside of the classroom! Our Fellows take part in eight different weekend-long seminars throughout the country – learning about Israeli society, exploring the beauty of the land, and absorbing modern Israeli culture. These seminars bring together Israel Pathways participants on all of our programs, so you will have the opportunity to meet a broad group of peers living all over Israel! Finally, by serving as a Fellow with Israel Pathways, you are choosing an experienced provider that understands the unique needs of the program. We are very proud that Israel Pathways has been the most popular provider of the Israel Teaching Fellows since the program’s inception in 2011. References are available upon request.
