Netanya

Netanya Operated by Israel Pathways

About Us
Israel Pathways offers 5-10 month programs in Israel for young adults ages 18-30 under the umbrella of Masa Israel. As a project of the Tlalim-Authentic Israel organization, Israel Pathways has been involved in organizing innovative experiences in Israel for over 30 years. Each of our programs will grant you unique skills and hands-on experiences that will impact you for many years to come.

We partner with synagogues, schools, youth groups, community organizations, and families to share the magic and beauty of Israel, including Israel Outdoors for Taglit-Birthright Israel trips, BBYO Passport for teenage summer travel experiences. Other Masa Israel programs that we organize include: Israel By Choice, a gap year program for English speakers primarily from Australia and South Africa and Masa-Tlalim for Russian speakers to learn photography or Cisco systems.

About the City
Netanya is a small coastal city of 183,000 residents located 18 miles north of Tel Aviv. Named for American philanthropist Nathan Strauss, the city encompasses a wide and colorful mix of people. Nearly half of Netanya’s population is foreign born. Many of Netanya’s immigrants originate from Jewish communities in North Africa, Ethiopia, and the Former Soviet Union. Netanya is home to Israel’s largest population of Persian (Iranian) immigrants. Finally, there is a sizable community of English-speaking immigrants who made Netanya home.

Netanya’s nine miles of white sand beaches rank among the most beautiful in the world and draw many visitors year-round. Located between Haifa and Tel Aviv, Netanya serves as a vital social and economic link between the northern and southern parts of the country.

Why Choose Our Program?
Our apartments are a 5-minute walk from the beach and are near downtown Netanya and the Netanya central bus station.

Experience Israel outside of the classroom: we will have 8 different weekend-long seminars throughout the country to learn more about Israeli history, society, and culture. These seminars are for Israel Pathways participants on all of our programs, so you will have the opportunity to meet people who are living all over Israel!

Netanya is a city with many different ethnic groups, which provides a more diverse experience within your teaching and volunteering.
